Leadership Dave Ramsey Style

I have been at Dave’s leadership conference in Cancun this week and have learned a ton.  Here is one of the bigger keys that struck me:

The difference between a leader and a manager is that a leader’s presence creates incredible energy on the team.  A great leader develops young leaders that also create energy so that the leader is not required to be there 24/7, but a great leader knows they can never totally disengage.

Does your team or your family “light up” when you are with them?

Wow, do you have any thoughts about how an average “Joe the Plumber” might be able to make his family light up when he arrives?

This reminds me of one of your posts from August about Communication and the 2-minute rule. In it you said, “People choose their leaders, leaders don’t choose their followers,” and talked about how with young people we need to be able to communicate differently, in 2 minutes (or less). Perhaps you and Zig can come up with some 2-minute strategies to help us to inspire our children to “light up” and choose us as leaders.

Last month, i attented Bob Alexander Live sales seminar in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia it was an exciting and valueable experience for me. I am very impressed with the amount of time and enthusiasm Mr.Alexander spent on the subject of attitude and core values. May you enlighten me as to why attitude and values play such as an important role in Ziglar sales system. Thank you

There are some that do not want to be lead around by a leader and others who need to be treated as a child.

What happen to both parties being responsible and accountable?

Enough noise about leaders giving vision. The employee must play an active part.
